The Turnagain Arm Bore Tide Safety Initiative (the "Initiative") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy details how we handle information across our Services.

1. No Server-Side Storage of Quiz Data

We do not require user accounts, emails, passwords, or logins to access our safety modules or complete the Safe Surfer Test. Your progress, selected answers, and final tier scores are stored entirely in your local web browser's storage (e.g., LocalStorage). We do not transmit or save your quiz answers to our servers.

2. Certificate Name Generation

When you generate a Certificate of Completion, you are prompted to type in your name. This name is rendered dynamically on your screen to compile the printable/PDF certificate. The name you enter is stored only in your local browser cache and is never sent to, stored by, or processed on our backend servers.

3. Third-Party Web Analytics and Hosting

Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard server logs (such as IP addresses, browser types, and access timestamps) to secure our website, prevent abuse, and optimize content delivery. This logging is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not sell or monetize this data.

4. Outbound Links

Our Services link to third-party web entities (such as NOAA National Ocean Service, emergency resources, and rescue portals). Once you navigate to external domains, your data is governed by those respective platforms' privacy practices.

5. Children's Privacy

Because we do not collect, request, or compile personal identification data from any visitors, we do not knowingly solicit or collect data from children under the age of 13.
